A new install uploads nothing. VitaSync works with your data never leaving your phone. Cloud backup is a choice you make, and one you can undo.

What it does

With cloud backup on, VitaSync keeps a private copy of your entries and settings in your account. If you lose your phone or reinstall, you can restore them. If you use two phones, edits from both are kept.

Turn it on

1

Open Account

Open the menu, then Account.
2

Tap Turn on cloud backup

A notice says what is copied, why, who holds it and how to stop. Accept or decline. Both buttons carry the same weight.
3

Add your email

Enter your email and the six-digit code we send. Your email is how you get the backup back on a new phone.
After three logged days, Profile offers the same thing under Finish setting up.

If the email already has a backup

The screen offers to restore that backup instead. The days on this phone are kept and merged in.

Turn it off

Open Account, then Turn off cloud backup. New changes stop uploading. The copy already in your account stays until you delete it with Delete account and data. See Export and delete.

What is copied

  • Your day entries: everything you log, with where each value came from.
  • Your settings and reference data: habits, goals, reminders, workout templates and custom metrics.
Two things are never copied. Your choice to allow cloud backup stays on the phone, so a restore cannot switch uploading back on by itself. Scheduled notifications stay with the phone that scheduled them.

Signing out

Sign out keeps the data on your phone and pauses uploads. Sign in to resume. Sign out is offered once an email is linked.
