A goal is a target on one metric, like eight hours of sleep or a weekly spending cap. Goals show your progress. They never block logging and never send you nagging messages.

Set a goal

1

Open Goals

Open the menu, then Settings, then Goals.
2

Pick a metric

Pick a metric from the list on that screen.
3

Set the target

Enter your target. Then choose Daily or Weekly, and choose Reach or Stay Under.
Each metric starts with a sensible choice for both. You can change either. You can have one goal per metric, so editing a goal replaces it. Edit the target or delete a goal from the same screen.

Daily or weekly

A daily goal reads a single day. A weekly goal adds up the metric across the week, Monday to Sunday. A weekly Workouts goal counts the workouts you logged that week.

Reach or Stay Under

How progress shows

The Your goals card on Home shows each goal as the amount so far against the target. Daily goals read the day you are viewing. Weekly goals read that day’s week. A Stay Under goal that goes past its cap changes to a warning tint. It is a calm note, not an alarm. A goal with nothing logged yet has not started. VitaSync never counts it as a miss.

Calories and macros

Calories, Protein, Carbs and Fat are goals like any other. Calories default to Stay Under. The macros default to Reach. The day’s totals come from the food you log. See Logging.

Limits

  • Mood, energy and stress have no goals. A target mood is a poor fit.
  • Goals on custom metrics are not available.
  • Goals cover daily and weekly periods only.
  • Goals do not send notifications. Set a reminder if you want a nudge. See Reminders.

Cloud backup

With cloud backup on, your goals are copied along with your other settings. See Cloud backup.
