A reminder is a notification your phone shows at the time you pick. Each one is a single, gentle nudge. VitaSync sends no follow-up if you miss it.

Reminders, under Settings

Open the menu, then Settings, then Reminders. The first card is Daily check-in. Turn it on and choose a time.

Add your own reminder

1

Tap Add reminder

It appears under Your reminders with a default message and time you can change.
2

Choose a metric (optional)

Pick a metric if the reminder is about one thing, like water. VitaSync fills in a message you can edit. Leave it on Anything for a general nudge.
3

Set the time and days

Choose a time. Then pick the days with the weekday chips, Monday to Sunday. All seven days means every day.
4

Write the message

The message is the text on the notification.
Every change takes effect straight away. Switch a reminder off to pause it without deleting it. Switching one off leaves your daily check-in alone.

Suggested reminders

If you log water, caffeine, alcohol or spending at a steady time of day, VitaSync suggests a reminder. It needs about five entries with a time first. A suggestion reads something like “You usually log this around 19:00. Add a reminder?” Tap Add and VitaSync creates an every-day reminder at that time. Creating any reminder for that metric removes the suggestion. Suggestions cover only those four metrics. Add a reminder yourself for anything else.

What a tap opens

Tapping a reminder opens the Log tab. Opening quick-add for the reminder’s metric is planned. The metric you pick sets the starting message. It does not change where a tap goes.

If notifications are off

VitaSync cannot schedule a reminder while notifications are off. It tells you: “Notifications are off for VitaSync. Turn them on in your phone’s settings.” Turn them on, then add the reminder again.

Reminders and cloud backup

With cloud backup on, your reminder list is copied along with your other settings. The notifications themselves stay with the phone that set them. See Cloud backup.
